Crafty get together card

I have this ever growing box of backgrounds and swatches or snippets all ready for future use all which have been created during crafty get together's with crafting friends.  It's so much fun getting together with friends trying out different techniques, you never know what you are going to come away with.

This card is some left over acetate with alcohol inks and tissue paper from a crafting retreat back in May of this year with Loll (Stamping with Loll), Susan (Cardmakers Garret) and Nancy (Scandy Nancy creates).
We smooshed the alcohol inks on the acetate, and when it was dry we glued the tissue paper to the AI side.  The tissue paper gives more texture to the inked surface, such a cool effect.  I die cut the coffee cup using a stamplorations die and mounted it on black card to give it more of a dramatic colour.
I used brown/yellow/blue and gold inks, you can see the slight shimmer of the gold in the image.  It's so hard to capture this in the photo but the colours really cool IRL

I'm entering this into the following challenges:- CAS Mix up, Stamplorations anything goes,

Card Recipe Card
Stamps:Tim Holtz
Paper: 110lb white, Acetate, tissue paper, Michaels black
Ink: Ranger archival
Accessories: Alcohol inks, Stamplorations die

The colours are so amazing with your AI panel, Christine. Very metallic looking, especially with the black backing. Love that idea of using colours behind the acetate panel. I know this is only a small snippet of part of one background of many that we made. :) It was such a fun time at the retreat and I'm already looking forward to next year. Thanks for sharing your card with us at CAS Mix Up! xx

LOVE the earthy background, Christine! The space is quite small, but you can see lots of beautiful colors! The white coffee cup pops right out at you. Hideko
